Integral pressure management with Water Cell Technology and adjustable seat depth encourages maximum support and equal weight distribution with the aim of reducing the risk of pressure injury.
A negative angle leg rest facilitates standing and offers a more comfortable seating position for users with tight hamstring muscles or knee contractures.
The NEW height and angle adjustable flip up footplate for clients with a longer lower leg length or those who require their feet to be supported. The footplate accommodates fixed angles of plantar flexion at the ankle, and provides a more restful ankle position whilst supporting the foot.
The footplate can be adjusted and set to a choice of 5 positions; +90° (vertical), +15°, 0° (horizontal), -15° and -30°. This equates to a 120° range of adjustment.
In all positions the footplate can be easily lifted up to vertical to move it out of the way.
To help in hospital settings or multi-user environments where attention to infection control is critical we are able to offer infection control covers; we have replaced Velcro in all exposed areas with plastic profile fittings and zips and minimised exposed seams.
Product Features:
Tilt-in-Space (TiS)
Allows you to change the reclining angle of the chair seat and back without adjusting the user’s hip and knee angle.
Backrest
The backrest delivers pressure relief and long-term comfort by offering simple conforming support to the lower back whilst the user is sitting upright and in a tilted position.
Adjustable Seat Depth
To maximise the performance of the Water Cell back, the seat depth can be easily adjusted to ensure the user’s pelvis stays right back in the seat, correctly aligned and not tilting into a sacral sitting posture.
Maximum Pressure Relief
The seat cushion uses CareFlex Water Cell Technology® and Vapour Permeable (VP) upholstery, which work synergistically to provide continuous pressure relief.
Wooden or Soft Hand Grips
Wooden hand grips are solid enough to support the user as they rise to standing.
Soft hand grips are an alternative option and consist of an upholstered foam pad fitted in the same position.
Independently Elevating Leg rest
Reflexions Foam® is incorporated in the leg rest to provide pressure relief for the legs.
It allows the sitting position to be adjusted throughout the day for different activities.
2 Braked Castors and 2 Swivel Castors
The castors have sealed bearing hubs for enhanced durability and smoother manoeuvrability.
The two rear castors have a full brake to stop rolling.
With the brakes applied, the user can confidently transfer from the chair without fear of the chair moving.
Loose Covers
For multi-user adaptability.
Flip-up Footplate
The flip-up height and angle adjustable footplate accommodates fixed angles of plantar flexion at the ankle, and provides a more restful ankle position whilst supporting the foot.
25° Negative Angle *
The leg rest now has a 25° negative angle to facilitate standing.
It also offers a more comfortable seating position for clients with tight hamstrings.

Warranty Information
MobilityX 5-Star Warranty Information
We pride ourselves here at MobilityX on aftercare.
It’s the after-sales service that is most important when dealing with Mobility Scooters and Powerchairs.
What happens if I have a technical or operational issue within the warranty period?
You simply email or call us for assistance.
We are on hand to help with absolutely any query or issue that you have with your product, from just wanting to go through the operational controls to help if you believe the item is faulty.
We want to help!
What if my scooter or powerchair arrives faulty or develops a fault in the warranty period?
The chances are, we are not local to you but we strongly believe that we offer a faster and more efficient warranty turnaround than your local mobility store!
In the unlikely event that your scooter or powerchair develops a fault, you simply contact us and we will arrange for our trusted specialist collection firm to come to your door usually the very next day!
We receive it back to our HQ in the East Midlands within a couple of working days where our engineer looks at it straight away.
Our service department will aim to turn it around within 24-48 hours subject to having the parts in stock (if parts are needed).
If we need to order a part, most manufacturers keep most in stock and in most cases, only takes a few days to arrive to us.
Is there a cost involved with collecting my Scooter or Powerchair?
No, we pay for the collection and delivery costs unless the return is due to user error.
This will be rare as we do like to run through what is happening and see if we can resolve the issue over the phone first.
Do I need to package up my Scooter or Powerchair for the collection couriers?
No, we use a specialist firm that takes it away fully assembled so no need to do anything except make sure the charger is included, if possible.
Delivery Information
MobilityX is proud to offer FREE UK Delivery* on all our mobility scooters and powerchairs (*some exclusions apply such as Highlands, Northern Ireland and Islands etc - please contact us for shipping costs).
Your item will arrive fully assembled on a pallet to protect against damage and shrink-wrapped to protect it against the elements.
Our trusted delivery partner will bring the scooter/powerchair down from the vehicle to ground level. We also ask them politely if they can remove it from the wooden pallet for you so that it is ready to use, however, this is not guaranteed and in which case, you may need some assistance.
Please note - The delivery company are not insured to enter your home or workplace so please be aware that if ordering a mobility scooter, it is technically a curbsite delivery service.
Please note that the courier/haulier company drivers are not mobility experts so please do give us a call if you need any help with operating your scooter post delivery.
Q. Is it really FREE UK Delivery?
A. Yes, we are proud to offer FREE delivery on our mobility scooters and powerchairs.
Please note that delivery charges or exclusions do apply to some areas e.g Scottish Highlands, Islands & Northern Ireland. We will contact you after purchase if any issues.
Q. When is the cut off?
A. If you place your order before midday on a working day, your scooter will arrive within 1-2 working days (some zones take longer and we will contact you after purchase with an exact day)
Q. Can I specify a time for delivery?
A. Due to being a large item haulier rather than a small parcel courier, we can specify a day but not an exact time.
Q. What if i order my scooter at a weekend?
A. If you place your order on a Friday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday the item/items will be dispatched Monday for delivery on Tuesday/Wednesday.
Q. What about bank holidays and seasonal dates?
A. If you have placed an order, with a requested delivery day that falls upon a bank holiday, please expect delivery the next working day after.
Our hauliers do not deliver on bank holidays or seasonal days such as Christmas day through to New Year's day.
Q. What if i live in a remote area?
A. In certain areas the delivery may take up to 5 working days (i.e. Scottish Highlands and certain other rural areas.).
Q. Are delivery dates & times guaranteed?
A. Our delivery dates are not guaranteed, even though 99% of orders do get to their destinations within 1-2 working days, we can not be held responsible for late deliveries due to events that are out of our control.
We use some of the largest courier networks in the world but now and again, an order can go over the specified time and we are very sorry.
Luckily, this does not happen very often!
Q. What if I miss my scooter delivery?
A. If you think that you will miss your agreed delivery day due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us urgently as we will need to call the delivery firm to reschedule.
If they arrive at your address but can not get an answer, they will charge a fee (usually £50) to redeliver. This is because they are a large item haulier rather than a small parcel courier.
Q. Can I specify a delivery day that suits me?
A. Yes, please phone or email us straight away once you have placed your order with which delivery day (excluding weekends) that suits you best.
Q. I want to speak to someone regarding my delivery?
A. Call us: (0116) 4030539 (Lines open 9am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday)
Email us: sales@mobilityx.co.uk
Returns Information
Here at MobilityX, we are extremely thorough with checking/testing our used mobility scooters as we are sending them all over the country.
In the unlikely event that you have a fault with your scooter or powerchair within the specified warranty period, please contact us straight away so that we can either have a local repair company call out and fix it (at our expense) or we collect it for a 'back to base' repair.
FAQ's
Here you will find a selection of our most common asked questions regarding Mobility Scooters. Remember we are here to help so please do contact us with any questions at all as we would love to help.
Q. Can I drive my scooter on a public highway?
A. Yes, you will need to register your mobility scooter (if an 8-mph road-legal version) with the DVLA in the same way as a car. We can do this free of charge for you. Simply contact us via email or telephone after purchase and let us do all the paperwork!
Please note: Only 8mph scooters with indicators, lights, hooter and at least one rear-view mirror are allowed on the road. Any scooter below 8mph is not for public highway use.
Q. Do I need to tax my mobility scooter?
A. Yes, even though mobility scooters are exempt from payment (yay!), you still need to tax it online in the same way as a motor vehicle. Please note that if you have asked us to organise a V5 logbook for you (we do this free of charge), we will automatically tax your scooter for 1 year.
Q. What type of mobility scooters are aircraft friendly?
A. Most, if not all the smaller auto or manual folding mobility scooters are aircraft friendly that has a Lithium Ion battery. Please check first with your airline to make sure before traveling. All other small-type mobility scooters have sealed gel-type AGM batteries which also should be acceptable with most airlines (always ask the airline as not all companies have the same rules).
